FESTIVALS

Never a dull moment here in our South Texas RV Park.  While on your visit don't miss our many seasonal festivals.  In the spring,
FIESTA SAN ANTONIO delights all it's visitors with fabulous food, music, parades and over 100 events to honor the heros from the Battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto.  CINCO DE MAYO Celebrations commemorate the Mexican Army's defeat of the invading French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Events include a festival with music and food at historic Market Square, concerts and other commemorations.  Jazz it all up with the SAN ANTONIO SUMMER ART and JAZZ FESTIVAL each June.   A must do is the TEXAS FOLK LIFE FESTIVAL, a three day extravaganza celebrating all things Texas.  lExperience the thrill of San Antonio's German heritage at OKTOBERFEST  SAN ANTONIO for a couple weekends each October.  In November, get an authentic taste of Mexican Cultural Tradition by celebrating EL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS in which families welcome back departed loved ones, sharing the joys of life with them as their memories live on.  Get ready to ring in the Christman holiday season with a visit to the HOLIDAY RIVER PARADE AND LIGHTING CEREMONY.  where the switch is pulled to turn on over 122,000 lights that illuminate the River Walk until New Year's Day.  Nobody does New Years Eve like CELEBRATE SAN ANTONIO all over downtown San Antonio with fireworks, food and music till you drop like the ball at midnight.  The whole San Antonio River along the River Walk is drained each January and we even have a festival for that, the RIVER WALK MUD FESTIVAL featuring a Mud Pie Ball, Mud Coronation, Mud Parade, and an Arts & Crafts Show.  To finish off the winter season festivals, no one should miss the biggest rodeo in the world the SAN ANTONIO STOCK SHOW AND RODEO each February.
