There is nothing fancy about this place. No pretenses, just friendly, caring owners that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The sites are level and on gravel. The ambience is VERY quiet and secluded. The RV spaces are surrounded by woods and a small river. Surprisingly, you are only 15-20 minutes away from all that San Antonio has to offer. The park and facilities are well maintained and clean. I will not divulge our rate, but it was very reasonable. We will be back! Mark and Missy 10/2012
The only thing wrong with our stay was it was too short. Everything about Hidden Valley Park is so perfect from the park like setting to the clean spacious spaces. Management is above reproach. VERY personable. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Bob and Carol G. 5/2012
You can't go wrong at Hidden Valley. Terry and her family are so helpful with all there is to do around San Antonio. Most of the campsites are shaded with trees; there is a nice walking trail; a new club house; good internet service in the campground. We love staying there in 2010, so we came back in 2012. "We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hidden Valley RV Park and San Antonio. The park is a hidden treasure in the San Antonio area. We made a reservation,...we were late, called, she said no problem, she would greet us upon arrival, which was around 8:00 PM. Since we had had a long day with getting something fixed on our 5th wheel, she said we could fill out paper work tomorrow ... The next afternoon she came by with maps, things to do in the area, ..., and asked us to call if we thought of anything else. She even told us about a lady that would walk our dog when we were out sight seeing, and even offered to check on him herself if we became concerned while we were out. ...My husband and I loved the area. We were close to downtown San Antonio, just off I10, about 8 miles or so to downtown, with the Alamo, River Walk, the missions, and 4-5 miles from WalMart, great restaurants, malls, etc. The park itself is gravel, a little dusty, not too bad, not many trees at the campsites, but a large creek was just beside our campsite, beautiful mesquite trees, green grass, an awesome walking trail, and The Cove, which has tents with tables inside, hammocks, swing chairs, and horseshoes. A nice area in which to relax, and we were there just last week with temperatures in the 100's, but with a nice breeze practically all the time, and the shade of "The Cove" very pleasant, especially in the mornings and late afternoon. I was even a little sad to leave we felt so at home there. We stayed for a week, and will definitely stay again. "An oasis in the desert: It was a pleasure staying here. It was like RV'ing used to be, warm and friendly host and campers. I feel that staying here was a real treat, unlike the "hustle and bustle" RV parks we find today where they are only interested in getting your money and you then leaving quietly without bothering the host. Have told lots of people about HiddenValley and what a lovely spot it is and how helpful you were, so you may have more people visit you over the years.
We hope to come back over sometime so we may look you up again even if we don't hire a RV.

"We very much enjoyed our stay at HiddenValley. You went above and beyond to make us welcome. We loved the seclusion of the campground and our dog, Fred had a blast on his many walks around the property and especially seemed to like checking out the creek.
We will most definitely stay with you again if we are fortunate enough to return to San Antonio.

"We are always happy to make well-earned recommendations when the opportunity presents itself. Again, thank you for a pleasant stay and all your help. You have just the sort of CG that we look for. We're not interested in the Resort-type places with all the hoopla and bells ringing. We camp because we like being outdoors in the quiet, relaxing atmosphere and you amply provide that right on the outskirts of a major metropolitan area. It is a little bit of heaven.
